CloseGuess is a free daily word puzzle game. You guess a hidden word by entering semantically related words; the game ranks your guesses by conceptual proximity. New puzzles are released daily, and you may also play through multiple levels. The service is provided for personal, non-commercial use.

3. Acceptable Use

You agree to use the Service only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms. You agree not to:

• Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble any part of the Service
• Use automated tools, bots, scripts, or scrapers to access or play the game
• Attempt to extract, copy, or redistribute puzzle data, answers, or vocabulary
• Interfere with or disrupt the integrity or performance of the Service
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any systems, networks, or data
• Use the Service for any illegal, harmful, or offensive purpose

4. Accounts

Account registration is optional. If you create an account, you are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials. You agree to provide accurate information and to notify us of any unauthorized use. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms or that we believe pose a risk to the Service or other users.

5. Intellectual Property

The CloseGuess name, logo, game design, puzzles, content, and all related materials are owned by us or our licensors. You may share your personal results (e.g., via social media) and invite others to play. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or commercially exploit our content without prior written permission.

6. Advertising

To support the free service, we may display advertisements. Ad providers may collect data in accordance with their own policies. By using the Service, you consent to the placement of ads and related tracking as described in our Privacy Policy.

7. Disclaimer of Warranties

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR FREE OF VIRUSES OR OTHER HARMFUL COMPONENTS. YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE IS AT YOUR SOLE RISK.

8. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, OR GOODWILL, ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY SHALL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID TO US (IF ANY) IN THE TWELVE MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM.
